Collection of Postcards
The collection comprises over 1,500 postcards. Though most are of Rovinj, there are postcards showing its surroundings as well: the Lim Canal, Kanfanar, Žminj, Bale, etc. dating from 1898 to the present.
Postcard motifs illustrate the development of Rovinj, the construction of its infrastructure, public buildings, factories and houses, changes in the appearance of the streets, squares, fashions and gatherings.
Besides the oldest ones, the most interesting postcards witness to the accelerated development of tourism in Rovinj from the 1950s throughout the 1980s.
