The primary purpose of museum education implementation is experiencing and adopting the cultural heritage of Rovinj and its surrounding area. An abundance and versatility of the museum collections is an important source of educational programmes for different social and age groups including guided tours, workshops, playrooms, lectures, educational projects. The educational programme is related to the permanent display, thematic exhibitions, specific themes on archaeology, ethnology, etc. Cooperation with educational institutions (kindergartens, primary and secondary schools) enables the fulfilment of schools’ curriculum. Educational programmes aimed at acquiring competences, knowledge and skills take place throughout the year.
